For over 15 years, Semper Fi has provided the ultimate in custom landscaping to residential, commercial and publicly funded properties in Chicagoland. Founded by US Marine Corps veteran Roberto Velazquez in the Chicago suburb of Aurora, Semper Fi has established itself as a dedicated team that can see any project through from start to finish. The business started with landscaping but has grown into a multi-faceted company that can assist with larger commercial, public works and ecological restoration projects. Who We Are

We’re proud of our heritage, and our logo symbolizes that heritage - where we’ve come from, and where we’re going. The crest as a whole represents family and dedication. We treat our customers like our own family, and we are dedicated to what we do. The rope that drapes around the crest is symbolic of the rope used in the seal of the US Marine Corp, representing Roberto’s service and dedication to our country.

First Quadrant

The first quadrant displays the Semper Fi initials. The red background is symbolic of our passion for what we do – passion for your yard, your community, our environment.

Second Quadrant

The second quadrant shows a cardinal flower which represents a native flower in our home state of Illinois. We work hard to protect and preserve native species in our natural areas.

Third Quadrant

The green branch in the third quadrant signifies our landscaping roots, as well as our dedication to continuously grow relationships with our clients.

Fourth Quadrant

The fourth quadrant represents a helping hand, symbolizing our dedication to personalized service and support we provide. The blue background signifies loyalty.

Owner Profile

Roberto Velazquez

Roberto Velazquez is a Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, having served as an Infantryman during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Upon Roberto’s return from Marine Corps training in 2004 he started Semper fi Land Service. Semper Fi Land Services is based on the values he learned while serving in the Corps: Integrity, Professionalism, Precision and Honor.

Semper Fi Land Services has expanded to include design, construction, and maintenance for residential, commercial, and public clients. A more recent expansion brings ecological restoration into the fold, with specialty work in public natural landscapes as well as commercial, publicly funded, and residential areas where natural landscapes exist or are part of a land plan. Since the early days, Robert has grown his business to 30 full-time employees and has earned six local, state and federal business certifications.
